1. Who we are
Laurent Real Estate is a real-estate marketplace for Valencia, Spain, operated by Laurent Real Estate ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect through our website and mobile app and how we use it.
2. Data we collect
Account data: name, email address, password (stored hashed), optional phone, city and profile photo. Listing data: property details and photos you upload. Usage data: enquiries, saved searches, favourites and chat messages you create. Technical data: IP address and device information in standard server logs, kept for security.
3. Why we process it
To provide the service (accounts, listings, search, chat and enquiries), to secure the platform (fraud and abuse prevention, rate limiting), and to send service emails such as password resets and enquiry notifications. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Legal basis
We process your data to perform our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), for our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure (Art. 6(1)(f)), and with your consent where required.
5. Sharing
Listing details and your public profile (name, photo, city) are visible to other users. Enquiries and chat messages are shared with the listing owner or agent you contact. We use no analytics trackers and no ad networks; data stays on our own servers in the EU.
6. Retention
Your data is kept while your account exists. Server logs are rotated automatically. When you delete your account, your profile, listings, photos, favourites, saved searches, messages and enquiries are permanently removed.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may access, correct, export or erase your data, and object to or restrict processing. You can edit your profile in the dashboard, and delete your account entirely at any time (see below). You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish supervisory authority (AEPD).
8. Security
All traffic is encrypted with TLS. Passwords are stored using the argon2 hashing algorithm. Access to production systems is restricted and firewalled.
9. Children
Laurent Real Estate is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be announced on this page. Last updated: 7 July 2026.
11. Deleting your account and data
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the mobile app (Dashboard → Delete account) or from the website dashboard. Full instructions are on our account deletion page. For any privacy request, contact us via the contact page.
